The world's biggest water park is packed with slides, rapids and waterfalls and it's so big you can even take air balloon rides inside

(Travel)  The Tropical Islands Resort in Germany is the huge resort boasts its own indoor rainforest, heaps of water slides including one the height of a four-storey building, grottoes, rapids, waterfalls, mini golf...

 

 

Boasting 66,000 sq m of floor space, 10,000 of which is dedicated to its lush spa and sauna complex. The slides alone are pretty enticing. There's Germany's highest slide tower at 27m (the height of a four-storey building), a power turbo slide that reaches speeds of 43mph, a 149m-long giant water slide filled with twists and turns, and even a river slide which you can ride along inner tubes.

Outdoors you'll find even more rapids, water slides, grottoes, waterfalls and a splash area for smaller kids in the Tropical Islands AMAZONIA zone.

 

 

Take a stroll through the world's largest indoor rainforest at the complex, which has over 50,000 plants, mini golf facilities, eye-catching features like a Balinese-inspired village, shopping zones and 13 restaurants and bars.

The whole complex is located inside a giant dome which also features 20,000 sq m of UV-transparent film on its south side for plenty of natural light. In fact, the resort is so big that even has its own accommodation - you can actually book rooms right by all the water rides, or if you're on a budget there are tents you can hire for an overnight stay.

Just outside, the resort also offers a wide array of holiday homes and rooms. The dome can hold up to 6,000 people at any one time.
